A bright modern wine from a Spanish region that is developing quickly. Leafy and earthy nose with notes of cherries, red apples, raspberry and watermelon hints. Palate medium-bodied, juicy, fruity yet well balanced and multilayered with a slight mineral touch, refreshing acidity and floral notes. Sweet, fresh andeffortlessto drink without thinking too much but without losing the identity of the place. Bottled unfiltered so may contain sediment.

Rico Nuevo is a family owned and operated vineyard inCebreros which is in the southeast of the province of vila (Castilla Y Leon). The name comes from the nickname given to their great grandfather Felipe”Rico Nuevo” who was a farmer, cattle rancher and a great wine producer.Juanan ‘Rico Nuevo’ now takes care of the winemaking and along with the rest of the teamseeks tocommunicate through its wines the marked character of this land, and the way of doing and thinking of the people who have worked on it.
Grenache vines are at the heart of their production as the grape of the region. (85% of vines across the 35 municipalities that make up the Cebreros are Grenache.) They produce wines that are characterised by elegance with a tasty balance between alcohol and acidity, fine depth of flavour, lively with good ageing potential. They farm organically and seek to maintain a circular ecosystem.
This young Grenache is made using fruit from aselection of plots from different parts of the Alto Alberche Valley that draw the Grenache on granite soils.
It is fermented in stainless steel and without going through ageing in wood and bottled unfiltered.
