One of Burgundy’s rising stars has crafted this classic Pinot Noir, made with grapes that are over 50 years old from the Hautes Ctes de Nuit on the eastern slopes of the Cte d’Or.60% of the grapes are fermented in whole clusters to add vegetal notes, and the wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, of which 30% are new. It hasa perfect balance of red fruit, soft levels of spice and some earthiness, with just enough tension to make it both gastronomicbut also ideal on its own.
