Artisan Craftsmanship

Chteau La Patache was acquired in 2012 by Peter Kwok and his son Howard, who are passionate about the Right Bank. Mr Kwok, a true Right Bank enthusiast, also owns Chteau Haut Brisson and Chteau Tour Saint Christophe, both in Saint-milion. The estate is named after the locality, which was once an old way station on the road between Bordeaux and Lyon. In the late 19th century, the region’s great potential for producing exceptional wines was discovered, and “La Patache” became a single chteau with its own identity.

The estate, though small at just 3.5 hectares spread across nine plots, has unique terroir, benefiting from soils rich in fine gravels and iron-rich clay in the subsoil. The vineyard, with 1 hectare facing the renowned Chteau Clinet, is perfectly positioned to produce wines with immense quality and character. The old post office was converted into the chteau, and the stables have been transformed into cellars, contributing to the estates distinct identity.
