Explore the refined character of Domaine Chanson Rully from the heart of the Cote Chalonnaise and perfect for pairing with charcuterie, poultry, and cheese.
Located on a hillside in Cote Chalonnaise. Rullys terroir provides an ideal setting for chardonnay with its rich clay and limestone soils. After a cool winter with an April frost, the late spring brought warm yet rainy conditions. Leading to a late flowering and millerandage (small berry formation). A warm, dry summer followed, and harvesting took place in mid-September under bright sunshine, yielding grapes with concentrated flavours.
This chardonnay undergoes gentle pressing before fermenting and ageing for 13 months in demi-muid oak casks within the estates historic 15th-century cellars. A moderate proportion of new oak adds a subtle complexity without overwhelming the fresh fruit character.
A versatile wine, ideal for pairing with charcuterie, poultry, and a range of cheeses, particularly Comte and goat varieties. Enjoy now for its freshness, or cellar for added complexity over time.
