A young field blend that blossoms beautifully once given some air. The nose is gentle, offering dried flowers, plenty of brambly fruit and earthy notes. The palate is fruity, spiced, lean and fresh yet structured. Un Phare dans la Tempete, “A Lighthouse in the Storm” is the only wine to make it out of the very ephemeral 2021 vintage, due to a long frost in April. What it lacks in quantity though, it more than lives up to in quality. Partly carbonically macerated, and aged in old French barrels.
Young winemaker Pauline Broqua has already established her mastery in making pure and delicious wines. She works her terroir with minimum intervention, and blends traditional and newer methods of vinification to achieve impressive results.
