It is in the heart of the Loire Valley, in Montrichard that the Maison Monmousseau is located. This medieval city built on the north bank of the Cher expresses the French art of living near the castles of the Loire.
The tradition began with the audacity and expertise of Alcide Monmousseau who founded in 1886, this fine wine merchant house in Montrichard. He discovered one of the most important quarries of regional tuffeau stone, the expression of the land where the grapes are grown.
The traditional winemaking procedures, combined with the secrets of the House, contribute to the unique character of Monmousseaus offerings: prestigious wines, boasting character.
Aged for two years in underground cellars, this Crmant is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pineau d’Aunis and Cabernet Franc and is well balanced with a long fruity finish.
