The origin of the cru’s gives a good idea of the quality of the wine:
Pinot Noir: Ay, Mareuil sur Ay, Louvois, Bouzy, Tours sur Marne, Chigny les Roses, Rilly, Ecueil. Chardonnay: Cramant, Chouilly, Cuis, Vertus. Pinot Meunier: Venteuil, Cerseuil, St Martin d’Ablois, Chavot. Ranking these villages at the very high level of 94 – 95% on the Echelle des crus scale.
