Producer
This domaine is run by Christophe and his charming wife Yuka, a talented Japanese chef.
They own and farm some of the finest sites around Ribeauvill and Hunawihr, including the Grand Cru Rosacker and Grand Cru Osterberg (source of the fabled Clos St Hune and Cuve Emile).
They were one of the first domaines in Alsace to convert to biodynamic viticulture in 1999. Christophe believes in minimum intervention, and allowing the soil to express the minerality of each terroir. These wines are super gastronomical, pure fruit, sharp acidity and lovely minerality.
2019 was Christophes first vintage where he made the wine in his own new cellars exciting!
Christophe has made 2 new Cuvees with his chef wife Yoka to accompany food. Both are delicious but restrained!
Cuve Vgane Pinot Blanc 100%, elevage in foudres on lies fines for 9 months. Cuve Epice 2019, 60% Gewurtraminer, 20% Pinot Gris, 20% Pinot Blanc, elevage on lies fines for 9 months.
Next year Christophe will have an additional 2.5 hectares around Riquewihr, including some Grand Cru Schoenenbourg.
