Dyfi Original was the first gin produced at the Dyfi Distillery and has proven to be a firm favourite with visitors to the distillery cellar door and also with some of the finest hostelries across the country; chosen by many as their preferred pouring gin! Dyfi Original is produced in very small batches, using their meticulous precision-distilling approach, with the aim of making a classic London Dry Gin, but with a local twist. Locally foraged botanicals from the Dyfi UNESCO Biosphere such as bog myrtle (sweet gale) and Scot’s pine tips, combined with the finest juniper, coriander, organic unwaxed lemon peel and other ingredients, produce a gin which is rich, yet very smooth. Bottled at 45% ABV without chill-filtration, each bottle of Dyfi Original is vintage-dated with the distilling season, batch-numbered and signed. Dyfi Original Gin is a great base for a classic martini, or even straight, but will probably be most enjoyed in a classic G&T, with an optional garnish of twisted lime peel and a sprig of basil.[#intro]Voted best British Gin 2018, this is a rich, yet smooth style…[/intro]
