A good depth of garnet and a slight tone of terracotta in colour. Black cherry and sweet spice with hints of chocolateand smoke on the nose. A rich and almost full-bodied palate with silky tannins from time in barrel. Dark fruits, cloveand vanilla spice are followed by earthy forest floor undertones on the finish.
Blended by our new winemaker, Laurence Cocking, from a selection of tanks and barrels of varying size and age, including the distinctive first crop of our new Pinot Noir Precoce vineyard block. A medium to full bodied red wine with brooding dark fruits and earthiness, well integrated oak, and delicate tannins.

In 1276, the Bishop of Herefords Red Book recorded the planting of vines on the south-facing slopes of Ledbury, Herefordshire. These early ecclesiastical vineyards marked the beginning of a long and remarkable connection between this land and the craft of winemaking.
Nearly 800 years later, we have reintroduced vines on these very slopes – reviving an old tradition with a modern, visionary approach. Nurtured by the same unique microclimate, our vines grow where history runs deep, and where innovation leads the way.
