Since developing a passion and self-taught knowledge, Fritz Wamer has established himself among the top winemakers in Baden with his internationally acclaimed Pinot Noir. His family has been involved in viticulutre and agriculture for generations in the village of Schlatt and this is where he was first introduced to work in the vineyards. He hasnt looked back since. Even though it would take a few years before Fritz Wamer would produce his own wine, the cornerstone for his great love was laid at a young age.
As well as Pinot Noir Fritz Wamer has dedicated himself to the cultivation and vinification of Chardonnay, Pinot blanc, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois and Frhburgunder. As proof of his constant creativity, in recent years he has added plots with Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and (very rare in Germany) Viognier.
