Jean Marc Burgaud Morgon Cote du Py demonstrates the versatility of the Gamay grape though richly assertive with fabulously deep, dark cherry and plum flavours and a long, savoury finish, it remains freshly mineral on the palate.

Jean Marc Burgaud is a top Beaujolais grower, claimed by many to be the best producer in Morgon. Jean-Marc comes from a family of winemakers, and his own career in the industry began in 1989 after he completed a diploma in oenology.
Hes not certified organic, but his philosophy is both traditional and manual.
He hasnt used chemical insecticide for 10 years, and only once in that time has he been forced by the vintage to resort to using a non-organic product in the vineyard.

The long maceration of the whole grape results in a powerful wine which improves over the years, giving a ripe stone-fruit fragrance on the nose like kirsch. Bottled in spring, it is necessary to be patient for it to develop its full potential.
