Kilchoman Distillery on Islay is one of the islands newest distilleries. The whisky is aged in a combination of ex Bourbon and Olorosso sherry barrels it delivers elegance and tropical fruits, smooth vanilla balanced with black pepper and layers of peat smoke.

‘A personal favourite. Kilchoman is still a “baby” distillery compared to all the malts you’ve heard about. They started making whisky in 2005 on Islay, a place known for making peaty (smokey) single malts. The Sanaig adds a strong sherry cask influence bringing roasted nuts and spice to the mix of sweet citrus and smoke. Now the weather is getting colder again, that’s the dram to pour to keep you warm during those darker nights’
Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, set out to resurrect the grass roots tradition of farm distilling, standing alone as Islays only Single Farm Single Malt Scotch Whisky, produced from barley to bottle.
