Made by Master of Wine Michael Brajkovich from sustainably grown Pinot Gris grapes that are hand-harvested and sorted in vineyards then gently whole-bunch pressed. The Pinot Gris vineyards of Kumeu produce consistently high quality grapes and are fermented using local wild yeast with extended maturation on the lees, which lead to wines of richness andcomplexity.
Aromas have typical peach and stone fruit notes tinged with the expected floral perfume of Pinot Gris wines. It offers alively texture on the palateparticularlycomplementary withintensely flavoured dishesas one of the few wine styles that can handle the spiciness of chilli. Pinot Gris works excellently with the sweet succulence of prawns, chicken and seafood particularly and dishes with light fresh flavours such as Ottolenghi inspired dishes and halloumi salads.
