This release is batch #2 of our lively 15yo blend drawn from our solera system where we continually add exciting new whiskies. This particular release is drawn from the Living Souls solera system, a method traditionally used in sherry production, which has been adapted for whisky. The solera system involves a series of casks where new whisky is periodically added, and the blend is drawn off for bottling. This continuous process allows for the creation of a whisky that is rich in character, with layers of flavours that have developed over time. Its a dynamic system that ensures consistency and depth, making each sip a journey through the evolving history of the blend.

The people behind Living Souls are a group of whisky lovers who share a serious passion and know-how for the craft. They’re on a mission to make their mark in the whisky world, always pushing the limits to create something unique. Driven by a shared goal, they are all about making sure the whiskies stand out and connect with fans everywhere.

They have a combined knowledge and experience that includes Degree Courses in Brewing and Distilling, Ownership of a Drinks Distribution Business, and the creating and launching of several awarded brands, so they really do share passion and know-how. The great thing about being an independent bottle shop is that we deal with them direct, thoroughly bloody nice people they are too!
