The history of Bodegas Lustau dates back to 1896, when it was founded by Don Jos Ruiz-Berdejo.
He grew some vines in his own finca called Finca Nuestra Seora de la Esperanza, aged the wines for some time and then sold them to bigger houses that commercialized and exported the wines. This is what is called an almacenista, a warehouser or stock keeper.
Aged for 12 years in the bodegas of Jerez, in American oak casks through the Solera method. Rusty gold in colour. Full-bodied and with great intensity on the nose due to the long ageing. http://www.lustau.es/en/
